Ways to help manage injection site reactions with PLEGRIDY

How can I manage injection site reactions with PLEGRIDY?

Before the injection:

Rotate (change) the injection site you choose with each injection.

Do not inject into an area of the body where the skin is irritated, reddened, bruised, infected, or scarred.

Allow 30 minutes for the pen or syringe to warm to room temperature before injecting.

Apply warm compresses to the injection site, which may help relax the tissue under your skin.

After the injection:

Gently massage the injection site for 15-30 seconds.

Cool the injection site by placing something cold, such as a gel pack, on the site.

Ask your healthcare provider if applying a topical treatment may help relieve redness or rash.

Check the site 2 hours after injection for redness, pain, itching, swelling, tenderness, or a break in the skin that becomes blue and black or drains fluid. If you have a skin reaction and it does not clear up in a few days, call your healthcare provider right away.
